Laksam Upazila of Comilla on Saturday (December 16) celebrated the Great Victory Day at the Laksam Government Pilot High School ground with due dignity. The day is celebrated by hoisting the national flag and flying the dove of peace.
Under the chairmanship of Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Abdul Hai Siddiqui, Laksam Upazila Parishad Chairman Ed. Yunus Bhuiyan was present as the chief guest.
Municipal Mayor Prof. Abul Khair, Upazila Vice-Chairman Mohabbat Ali, Municipal Awami League General Secretary Ed. Rafiqul Islam Hira, Laksam Thana Officer-in-charge Md Shahabuddin, Upazila Women Vice-Chairman Padshi Saha along with freedom fighters, journalists and leaders of Awami organizations.
It is noted that on the occasion of Victory Day, the chief guest received greetings from students and students of various schools, colleges, madrasas and social and cultural organizations. The program was conducted by Secondary Education Officer Prasad Kumar Bhawal.
