Upazila administration seized 14 sacks of government TCB rice in two autorickshaws from Char Islampur Union of Vijaynagar Upazila of Brahmanbaria.
On Tuesday, September 24th at 5 pm, this official rice was seized based on a tip-off. At that time, no owner of the rice was found.
Upazila Executive Officer, Md. Saiful Islam said, based on secret information, about 14 tons of rice were seized in an auto-rickshaw on the way from Char Islampur of the upazila towards Rampur.
The owner of this rice could not be traced as TCB’s product distribution dealers and tag officers completed the distribution of 100% products at fair price. So the rice has been distributed to the orphanage.
