“Golden bags are in great demand as they are eco-friendly. It will be able to meet the domestic demand as well as the packaging needs of the world. Golden bags made of jute will contribute to bring back the golden age of jute in the country.

On Wednesday (August 28) the inventor of golden bags in the secretariat. In 2016 Dr. Mubarak Ahmad Khan invented this eco-friendly bag by processing cellulose from jute. In 2017, Latif Bawani Jute Mill, under the control of BJMC, took up a project to manufacture golden bags. Last year, a research project funded by ‘Bangladesh Climate Change Trust’ was completed to improve its quality.
