Goat trader’s house vandalized-arson and looted in political revenge in Manda: 2 injured

It has been alleged that the house of a goat trader named Bullet was vandalized, set on fire and looted due to past enmity and political vendetta in Manda of Naogaon. The incident took place in Sardar para of Ganeshpur village (next to Basharpukur) of Ganeshpur Union No. 5 of Manda Upazila. In this incident, the victim’s father Fashir Uddin and grandmother Rasheda Begum were injured. Among them, Fahir Uddin has received treatment at the emergency department of Manda Upazila Health Complex and Rasheda has been admitted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital and is undergoing treatment.
It has been reported that the goat trader Bullet, son of Fashir Uddin Sardar of Ganeshpur village, had been in conflict for a long time with his opponents Helal, Bulbul alias Bulu and Moklechur Rahman Gong of the same village. Due to this, around 20/30 people including Helal, Bulbul alias Bulu, Moklechur Rahman, Manik, Sohail, Shahin, Kalam and Raju came together at around 10 o’clock on Tuesday (August 7) ​​morning and suddenly attacked and vandalized the house and set fire to 4 cows. The victims said that 15 lakh rupees of paddy, rice and cash were looted. They said that they were seriously affected. In this situation, they demand a fair trial. Currently they are fleeing from their homes. He also said that he is suffering from insecurity of life in such a situation. Even before this, their homestead was set on fire. They said that the case is still ongoing.
Denying all the allegations brought against the accused in this regard, they said that these propagandas are being spread against them in a planned way. They have no involvement in house breaking and arson and looting of other goods.
Manda Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mozammel Haque Kazi said that vandalism, arson and looting of homes due to political revenge is not desirable for anyone. In this situation, he called on everyone to be patient until the law and order situation is normalized.
