Goalanda Ghat Police Station in Rajbari recovered 3 foreign firearms, 07 rounds of bullets and three empty magazines while arresting a drug dealer.
Goalanda Ghat Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Rakibul Islam confirmed the matter in a press release at 9 pm on Wednesday (January 8).
Goalanda Ghat Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Rakibul Islam said that based on secret information, Goalanda Ghat Police Station Police came to know that Yaba would be sold on the paved road of Goalanda Godhuli Park. Based on such information, Goalanda Ghat Police Station SI Mahbub, SI Jewel, SI Selim along with their force took position in front of Godhuli Park for a raid to recover drugs and warrants. At that time, drug dealer Saddam Hossain came on a motorcycle on the paved road next to Godhuli Park to give yaba. At that time, Saddam, realizing the presence of the police, reached the Samrat Nagar Bazar area on his motorcycle and left his motorcycle at his shop and quickly escaped. Goalanda Ghat Police Station followed him and reached the Samrat Nagar Bazar area and entered the pipe room of his dredger and found three foreign pistols and bullets there. In front of the local witnesses present, Saddam’s own pipe warehouse was searched and 03 foreign pistols, 07 rounds of bullets and three empty magazines were recovered.
The OC also said that legal action is being taken in the above matter with the help of the police station and DB police.
