Bangabandhu and Bangmata football tournament held at primary school level in Rajbari’s Goaland, the final game at the upazila level was held on Thursday afternoon. In the first match of the day, Bara Singra Government Primary School won the Bangmata National Gold Cup held at the Goland Upazila Parishad Court grounds by defeating Hawli Keutil Government Primary School in a tiebreaker 3-2.
In the other match of the day, KKS Shishu Government Primary School won the championship by defeating Bahadurpur Government Primary School 1-0 in the Bangabandhu National Gold Cup game. As a result, Bara Singra Government Primary School qualified for the Bangmata Football Tournament and KKS Shishu Government Primary School qualified to play at the district level in the Bangmata Football Tournament. Trophies are distributed among the winners at the end of the game.
Goland Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Jyoti Bikas Chandra presided over the award distribution ceremony and Rajbari-1 Constituency Member of Parliament, Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Alhaj Kazi Kermat Ali was present as the chief guest.
