Giving tab to 890 students of 280 educational institutes in Patuakhali

 As a gift of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina as an educational aid to students in Patuakhali, tab distribution was held among 890 meritorious students studying in 9th and 10th standard of 280 schools, madrasas and technical educational institutes under Census and Household Census – 2021 project. Deputy Commissioner Md. Shariful Islam was the chief guest at the tab distribution ceremony under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) Jadav Sarkar and conducted by Principal Aminul Islam Siraj at District Art Academy on Tuesday (11 July) at 10 am. Additional Superintendent of Police Ahmed Sajedul Islam, District Awami League President Bir Muktijoddha Kazi Alamgir, General Secretary Bir Muktijoddha VP Abdul Mannan, Panel Mayor Md Delwar Hossain Akon spoke as special guests. Deputy Director Sarwar Kamal Tarzon of the District Statistics Office delivered the welcome speech. Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Saifur Rahman, District Education Officer Md. Mujibur Rahman were sitting on the stage as special guests. Principal teachers of various educational institutions, heads of madrasa super and technical institutes and representative teachers and tab students were present on the occasion. Later, the chief guest handed over the tab to the poor meritorious students. Earlier, under the project in the district, 1,561 students of the first phase of 259 secondary schools have been given tabs, said Sarwar Kamal Tarzon, deputy director of the district statistics office.
