UNO shared the joy of Eid with more than two hundred helpless and destitute people on the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr in Galachipa, Patuakhali.
On Eid day at 8 am, after offering Eid prayers at the Helipad Eidgah ground in Galachipa Upazila, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mizanur Rahman brought the needy and helpless people staying at the Eidgah to their residences in his government vehicle. At this time, the helpless and helpless people were seen overcome with joy.
He also arranged to bring helpless people from four or five nearby Eidgahs to his residence. The Upazila Executive Officer himself fed the people with Kadim in the bungalow. After eating, he gave them Eid bakshis. Alamgir Hossain, the president of the Upazila Welfare Association for the Disabled, and others were happy and prayed for Upazila Executive Officer Mizanur Rahman. Food and drink were served at the UNO’s residence from nine in the morning to twelve in the afternoon.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mizanur Rahman said, “Eid means happiness and joy, so this event is aimed at sharing a little of the joy and happiness of Eid with the common people.”
Besides, the holy Eid-ul-Fitr is a day of great joy for the Muslim Ummah. This day comes as a reward after achieving self-restraint, worship and piety throughout the month of Ramadan. On the day of Eid, exchanging Islamic greetings among family, friends and neighbors and the neglected common people in the society is an important part. Islamic greetings on this Eid-ul-Fitr are not just a tradition, but it is a practice of love, harmony and Islamic brotherhood.
