Organized by the social organization ‘Nongar’ of Galachipa Upazila of Patuakhali district, a seminar on river and climate change was held under the chairmanship of Mr. Nasim Reza, representative of Executive Officer Mr. Mizanur Rahman and Assistant Commissioner (Land).

Later, one by one, the special guests thanked the crowd for their important views on rivers and climate change and organized the first ‘Anchor’ in Galachipa.
The president of the seminar, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md. Nasim Reza, said that the life of a country is the river, besides the ongoing program of the government, various social organizations are working voluntarily to save the river, among them ‘Anchor’ is one of them. He also said that we will be fully supported by the government to protect the river and the environment. He also called on the public to be more aware of environmental awareness.
The chief guest, Suman Sams said, to save the river’s other name ‘Ma’ and to give a beautiful world to the future generations, we have to come forward to bring back the life of the river and the healthy beautiful environment. River and environmentalist non-political social organization ‘Nongar’ has been doing voluntary work across the country for many years to protect river navigation, river sedimentation, river encroachment, environmental pollution as a vigilant watchman along with B.I.W.T.A. of the government. is coming He also said that with the help of the government, he promised to always be with the ‘anchor’ in the public awareness to encroach the river, free the river from pollution, refrain from using plastic, do not throw plastic waste everywhere, and plant a large number of trees to deal with natural disasters due to climate change.
Before this, chief guest Suman Sams, president Md. Nasim Reza, special guest crowd and members of ‘Nongar’ upazila, members of ‘Nongar’ upazila presented flowers to the guests including Fazle Sani, FH Sabuj and Jahangir Hossain Jani, media workers who love the river and environment. Received and honored with northern attire. At the end of the seminar, the invited guests planted a fruit tree sapling in the Bangladesh-Turkey Friendship School for the new generation of children and pedestrians as a memory. After that at around 4 pm Galachipa visited the Ramnabad River.
