Md. Zillur Rahman Jewel, Galachipa, Patuakhali:
Devotees began worshipping Vidya Devi with colorful processions from the central temple in Patuakhali’s Galachipa in the morning, accompanied by drums and conch shells, at various educational institutions and temples.
Today is the day to worship the goddess of learning, Saraswati. With a veena in one hand and a book in the other, accompanied by a carrier, the goddess Saraswati has come in this form with the blessings of learning, knowledge and music for the students. Hindus worship this goddess of learning on the fifth day of the month of Magh.
The Saraswati Puja celebrations of the Sanatan Dharma followers began on Monday morning with various rituals and ceremonies. This puja is mainly organized for students. However, it is not limited to the followers of the Sanatan Dharma. Everyone, regardless of caste, religion, or age, participates in this event.
According to traditional religious beliefs, the goddess, the patroness of knowledge and learning, appears among her devotees every year to awaken the consciousness of people through her blessings.
This morning, devotees will receive Anjali after performing Saraswati Puja at various educational institutions, students’ homes, and puja mandap.
