Abul Kalam Azad aka Shahriar Nafiz Iman aka Bulbul (35) was caught in the police net when he tried to sell a teenage girl for sex after marriage through 6 marriages in the identity of a government official.
The arrested Bulbul is the son of Ayanal Haque of Baradudhapatila village of Damurhuda upazila of Chuadanga district.
District Superintendent of Police GM Abul Kalam Azad gave this information in a press conference at his office on Saturday (December 23) morning.

The Superintendent of Police said that the arrested Bulbul developed a love relationship with a 17-year-old girl of Pangsha upazila by identifying himself as an audit officer of the Department of Public Health and Engineering in various areas of Rajbari, Faridpur, Jessore, Pabna, Jhenaidah and Chuadanga districts. At one stage, on March 7 this year, he married her by showing various temptations. On August 27, he unsuccessfully tried to sell the girl to Rathkhola sex village in Faridpur city. Besides, he stole gold ornaments worth Tk 5 lakh 70 thousand and cash To 8 lakh from the victim’s mother’s house and fled.
In this incident, the victim’s mother filed a case against her under the Prevention and Suppression of Human Trafficking and Women and Child Abuse Act at Pangsha Police Station on October 18. He was arrested from Natore district headquarters in this case with the help of information technology.
He also said, “The arrested Bulbul stole 23 lakh taka from 7 people by pretending to be a government official in various areas of Pangsha upazila from March 7 to August 26, promising to give them jobs in various government offices.” Also, he targets beautiful women in different parts of the country and marries them and embezzles crores of rupees by enticing the relatives of those women to give them government jobs. He is said to have married more than 6 times in different parts of the country. He has 4 cheating cases and one smuggling case against him in different police stations of the country. Chuadanga Damurhuda police station has 2 warrants against him.
