Former finance and planning minister MA Mannan, former MP of Sunamganj-3 constituency, got bail on consideration of age and physical aspects and a surety of Tk 20,000.

MA Mannan’s lawyer Advocate Abdul Hamid confirmed the matter and said that MA Mannan has been in jail for 21 days in a case in Sunamganj. He is an elderly person, unable to walk, suffering from various diseases, moving around in a wheel chair. Apart from this, he is also mentally disturbed. For this reason, the court granted his (MA Mannan) bail application on a surety of Tk 20,000 considering his illness and age. We hope we will get justice for other accused also. I got justice today.
Earlier, at 11 o’clock in the District and Sessions Judge’s court, during the bail hearing, the judge left the courtroom due to the uproar of the lawyers of both sides.
