On the occasion of the 20th death anniversary of former MP AKM Abu Taher in Barura, Comilla, a discussion meeting, milad mahfil and prayers were held at the party office of BNP.
On September 23, the upazila BNP party office held a discussion meeting and milad mahfil organized on the occasion of upazila and municipal BNP and organ organizations. The former commander of the Upazila Muktijodva Sangsad and the president of the municipal BNP Md. Shamsul Haque Sardar presided over the discussion meeting.
General Secretary of Upazila BNP Syed Zahirul Haque Swapan, Vice President of Upazila BNP Syed Rezaul Haque Reju, General Secretary of Municipal BNP Humayun Kabir Patwari, Organizing Secretary Md Delwar Hossain, Deputy Organizing Secretary of Upazila BNP Md Nurul Islam Nuru, Convenor of Upazila Youth Party spoke in the discussion meeting. Mayor Md. Jasim Uddin Patwari, Member Secretary Md. Mominul Haque Liton, Convenor of Upazila Swachhasevak Dal Md. Abdul Jalil, Deputy General Secretary of Comilla South District Youth Dal, former Councilor Md. Md. Mobarak Hossain Jani, Municipal Youth Dal Convener Akhter Haider, Member Secretary Md. Moniruzzaman Patwari, Joint Convenor Md. Tofail Hossain Amir, former councilor Md. Zakir Hossain, convener of Municipal Volunteers Party, Member Secretary Mostafa Zaman Hanif, Convener of Upazila Farmers Party Md. Babul Miah, Leader of Sramik Party Md. Amir Hossain, Master Feroz, Convener of Upazila Student Party Mostakin Patwari, Municipal Student Party Convenor Md. Pavel Hossain and others. The program was conducted by member secretary of upazila student party Liton Pandit municipal student party member secretary Nazrul Islam Saddam.
Most of the leaders of upazila BNP and municipal BNP organizations were present in the event.
After the discussion meeting, Mufti Maulana Md. Mizanur Rahman Jafri conducted Milad and Principal Maulana Md Yunus Wazedi conducted prayer. Earlier in the morning, Barura Upazila and Municipal Chhatra Dal offered prayers and Fateha at the grave of late AKM Abu Taher.
