The United States will host three major football tournaments three years in a row. They will host the Copa America in 2024. In 2026, the country will host the FIFA World Cup with Mexico and Canada. The FIFA Council unanimously decided on Friday that the 2025 Club World Cup will also be held in the United States. The United States has received the responsibility of organizing the first edition of the Club World Cup, which is planned with 32 teams. 2025 will be the first large-scale Club World Cup. Last March, FIFA announced that the 32-team Club World Cup will be held every four years from 2025. They took this initiative to make the Club World Cup truly global and increase the appeal of the tournament. The current 7-team Club World Cup will be abolished from this year onwards. The continental champions from 2021 to 2024 will get a chance to play in the new Club World Cup. From Europe, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Manchester City are confirmed to play. Besides the Club World Cup, FIFA has also announced the name of the new host of the U-17 World Cup. The tournament will be held in Indonesia from November 10 to December 2. This event was supposed to be held in Peru. However, they are excluded because they cannot meet the infrastructural needs.
