The tri-annual conference of Bangladesh Krishak League of East Enayetnagar Union Branch of Kalkini Upazila of Madaripur was held with the slogan “Save the Farmers, Save the Country”.
The conference was held on Saturday (May 10) afternoon at the Alipur High School ground in East Enayetnagar Union of Kalkini Upazila.
President of Kalkini Upazila Awami League and MP Tahmina Begum spoke as the chief guest under the chairmanship of Kalkini Upazila Krishak League convener Md Emdadul Haque Sardar and member secretary Md Iqbal Hossain.
Madaripur District Farmers League President Zakir Hossain Howladar inaugurated the program, Madaripur District Farmers League General Secretary Moshiur Rahman Ilyash Sharif was the main speaker.
Kalkini Upazila Awami League General Secretary Toufikuzzaman Shahin, Madaripur District Awami League Vice President Khairul Alam Khokon Bepari, Upazila Awami League Organizing Secretary Obaidur Rahman Sohail Talukdar, Municipal Awami League General Secretary Md Enayer Hossain, East Enayetnagar UP Chairman Neyamul Akon, Upazila Awami League General Secretary were present as special guests. Awami League office secretary Md. Bellal Hossain, former president of Upazila Chhatra League Moshiur Rahman Sabuj, former general secretary Ilyash Hossain and other leaders.
Lawyer Mahabub Shakeel, Joint Secretary of Madaripur District Farmers League, Shahadatullah Sardar, Organizing Secretary of District Farmers League Hannan Matubbar were special speakers in the event.
