Farewell to Barura journalist Saqib Al Helal

Journalist Shakib Al Helal of Bagabaria village of Khoshbas North Union under Barura Upazila of Comilla passed away at Dhaka Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospital on September 24 at 3 am, Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Rajiun. The death of journalist Shakib Al Helal has cast a shadow of mourning in his area.
Journalist Saqib Al Helal was suffering from kidney problems for a long time and was admitted to the CKD Hospital located in Shyamoli, Dhaka on an emergency basis a month ago due to failure of his two kidneys. Saqib Al Helal’s death face because his mother could not see his kidney when he wanted to give his son a lack of money! To save journalist Shakib Al Helal, many people in the country and abroad extended their hands of cooperation with the request of journalists working in Barura and in the light of reports through social media. About 8 lakh rupees were collected for the treatment of Saqib Al Helal. After 8 days of treatment in CKD hospital, he suddenly developed a brain infection and could not recognize anyone. After 12 days of treatment in CKD hospital, he was taken to Bardem Hospital, as there was no ICU bed there, he was rushed to Ebenezina Hospital, where he was kept in ICU for one night. After lobbying, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospital was admitted to the ICU bed. After two days in the ICU bed, when Shakib Al Helal recognized his mother and his wife and spoke to them, the mother was very hopeful, but the cruel irony of fate was the last thing journalist Shakib Al Helal said in those few minutes.

Abul Hasem, General Secretary and Barura Correspondent Journalist of Daily Comilla Paper took part in his funeral prayer at 3 pm on Wednesday in the field adjacent to the mosque of his home. Md. Mohi Uddin, Staff Reporter of Daily Banglar Alodan Newspaper Md Mohsin Mia, Correspondent Journalist of Daily Bhorer Dak Newspaper Rota: Omar Farooq, Correspondent of Daily Titlat Newspaper Journalist Md. Ikramul Haque, Editor of Khoshbas Barta, Journalist Md. Yunus Khan, Staff Reporter of Daily Samajkanth, Journalist Md. Sharif Uddin, Kazi Momin Ullah Bhuia, Journalist Safiullah Sujan, Journalist Md. Shah Alam, Journalist Md. Motaher Hossain Salim, Poet Zahirul Islam, Poet Sohel Rana Relatives including local dignitaries.
It should be noted that journalist Saqib Al Helal was a member of Barura Press Club for a long time and also worked in Anand TV, Business Bangladesh and Ajker Comilla newspaper.
