Nushrat Jahan Lima, a school teacher of Maharajpur Government Primary School, the sister of the deceased teacher Purbi Islam, has asked for a re-investigation of the murder case of assistant teacher Purvi Islam (45) discussed in Rajbari.
On August 31, he disclosed in writing to the local journalists that the case should be re-investigated and get a fair trial.
Nushrat Jahan Lima said, on Friday night, April 8, 2022, Purvi Islam’s husband, Farhad Hossain, the headmaster of Kola Sadar Uddin High School, got involved in an extramarital affair with another assistant teacher of the same school, Chamirun Necha, and it became known locally that Farhad and my sister Hussain’s family quarrels continued, he physically and mentally abused my sister and beat her severely, and the day before her death, she was beaten and drowned in a pond. The incident was seen by the neighbors of that area.
My sister’s husband Farhad killed my sister premeditatedly, she has injury marks on different parts of her body. Dead body can be seen broken fingers, black spots on the neck, bruises on various parts of the body, after severe beating and suffocation, he was hanged with a rope.
We have come to know that the former MP of Rajbari-1 Constituency Kazi Keramat Ali has covered up this discussed case with a large sum of money. When my brother Mehdi Hasan filed a murder case No. 19/161 dated 09/04/2022 in Rajbari Sadar Police Station under section 306 of the Penal Code Rajbari Sadar Police Station case No. 21/ dated 7/6/22, accused Farhad Hossain was arrested by the police through the court. Sent to jail. He was elected president of Rajbari Sadar Upazila Teachers Association while sitting in jail with the help of the ruling Awami League while he was in jail for two cases and four months. The victim’s sister also said that the police officer under the patronage of Awami League MP Keramat Ali, and with the connivance of Sadar Hospital’s Dr. Hannan, exchanged a large amount of money from the accused Farhad and diverted the case along with the autopsy report to a different sector. We teachers hold a rally for justice and appropriate punishment for my sister’s killer. I also complained to the IGP in the name of the then corrupt police officers but it did not work.
Because of the ruling leader of Awami League, I did not get any justice for the murder of my sister. Now that the country and the courts are independent, now we hope to get justice through a full investigation in the high court.
