Eid gifts have been distributed to the families of martyrs and injured in the student uprising in Rajbari. Eid gifts were distributed at the conference room of the Rajbari Deputy Commissioner at 11 am on Sunday (March 30). Rice, sugar, semai, oil and powdered milk were given as Eid gifts to the families of martyrs and 77 injured in the student movement.
Joint member secretary of the National Citizens Committee (NCP) Dr. Tasneem Zara, convener of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement Mir Mahmud Sujan, spokesperson Rajib Mollah, member Mirajul Majid Turya, student Ramzan Ali of Rajshahi University, student Zakir Hossain of Dhaka Bangla College, etc., spoke at the Eid gift distribution ceremony presided over by Deputy Commissioner Sultana Akhter.
Under the leadership of Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Md. Imrul Hasan, Deputy Director of Local Government Branch Mazharul Islam, Assistant Commissioner and Executive Magistrate of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office Molla Iftekhar Ahmed, Nezarat Deputy Collector (NDC) Nahid Ahmed, Member Secretary of the Anti-Discrimination Students’ Movement Rajbari District Branch Md. Rashedul Islam, Chief Organizer Hasibul Islam Shimul, Joint Conveners Saiduzzaman Shakib, Altab Mahmud, one of the members of the student movement Tokon Mandal, and members of the families of those injured and martyred in the July Uprising were present.
In the speech of the President, Deputy Commissioner Sultana Akhter said, the district administration is always with the families of those injured and martyred in the July Uprising. We will provide maximum cooperation from our place. As long as I am here, my door will be open for you. You must have unity among yourselves. The district administration is always by your side. May the joy of Eid spread in your families. May the golden Bengal of your dreams be created with your hands. My request to you, those who were in the movement, is that you keep your life, livelihood and place of study in order. You may have joined politics, but you must keep your place of study and self-development in order.
