Police have arrested 3 accused including the Bikash worker in connection with robbery of Tk 18 lakh from Bikash worker in Madaripur. Police said that the main planner of this work, development worker Al-Amin and his brother Roni Bepari.
Madaripur Superintendent of Police Mohammad Shafiur Rahman confirmed the matter through a press briefing on Tuesday (July 16) morning.
In a press briefing, the Superintendent of Police said that on July 7, development worker Al-Amin and Mehdi Hasan were going to South Dudhkhali area of Kalikapur Union in Madaripur Sadar Upazila. Al-Amin was admitted to Madaripur Sadar Hospital in an injured state. Later, police, CID and DB police jointly started investigating the incident. Al-Amin gets involved in the investigation. Al-Amin Sardar (23) son of Hazrat Ali Sardar of Kulpadvi village of Sadar upazila, Nurul Karim (25) son of Abdus Salam Sardar of Darichar Lakshipur village of Kalkini upazila and Md Saimun Sardar (19) son of Almach Sardar of Enayetnagar village of the same upazila were arrested. is But another mastermind Roni Bepari is absconding. Meanwhile, 2 motorcycles, 14 lakh 57 thousand 500 taka in cash, a helmet, an iPhone and a t-shirt were seized from the accused.
The Superintendent of Police also said that a case has been filed at Madaripur Sadar Model Police Station. Those arrested have been handed over to the court for further legal action.
