Explosives Act case against 59 people at Jhalkathi police station

Awami League advisory council member, 14 party coordinator and spokesperson Amir Hossain Amu, Awami League executive member Golam Rabbani Chinu, Jhalkathi district Awami League president Sardar Md. accused of attacking and vandalizing Jhalkathi district BNP office. Shah Alam, General Secretary Advocate Khan Saifullah Panir, Municipal Mayor Liaqat Ali Talukder and 59 others have been registered under the Explosives Act (No-10, Dated: 13/11/2024 GR No. 256/2024) at Jhalkathi Sadar Police Station. Sadar Upazila BNP organizing secretary Syed Ziaul Islam Zobair filed this case as a plaintiff in the case of bomb explosion and fire in BNP office in 2021.

The case was registered at the Sadar police station on Wednesday night when the statement was filed on Monday (November 11) night.

According to Ezahar sources, on the evening of October 4, 2021, Amir Hossain Amu, Member of Parliament of Jhalkathi-2 (Sadar-Nalchiti) Constituency, ordered the attack and vandalism of the then district BNP office on Yusuf Commissioner Road.

Petitioner Ziaul Islam Zubair said that no case has been filed in police station so far due to illegal interference in autocracy. After the country became normal, I filed a statement about the decision of the party leaders and workers.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Jhalkathi Sadar Police Station, Moniruzzaman, said that district BNP organizing secretary Syed Ziaul Islam Jubair filed a complaint as a plaintiff and it was investigated and recorded as a case.
