The Executive Committee Meeting of Journalists Union Dinajpur (Reg. No. 2936) was held at the union office on Wednesday (8 January 2025). Various important issues for the professional development and welfare of journalists were discussed in the meeting.
Several important decisions were taken in the meeting. It was decided to organize special training workshops to improve the safety and working environment of journalists. Also, the need to take initiatives regarding the rights and benefits of various journalists was discussed.
President of Journalists Union (2936) Mr. G. M. Hiru said that today’s meeting is a symbol of our unity and strength. If the journalist community works together, we will be able to ensure professional dignity and protection.
General Secretary Mahfizul Islam Ripon said that today’s meeting is not just a gathering, it is the beginning of a new day. Our commitment is to work together to protect the dignity and rights of journalists.
Joint General Secretary Abdus Salam said, journalism is a great profession, which has the power to change the image of society. In the discussion, he talked about the moral responsibility of journalists and the importance of professional discipline. He said, our job is not only to provide news, but also to work to ensure justice and accurate information. To further strengthen the role of journalists in society, we all have to work together. By maintaining honesty, integrity and professionalism, we can contribute to the welfare of society. The unity of journalists is our strength and with this strength we will move forward on the path of truth and justice. Vice President Sadaqat Ali Khan, Md. Qorban Ali Sahel, Joint General Secretary Mahabubul Haque Khan, Md. Atiur Rahman, Executive Member Md. Nur Islam Nayan, Treasurer Belal Hossain Raju, Md. Abu Kawsar, Belal Hossain Joy, Abed Ali and all the members of the executive committee of the union were present at the event.
