An exceptional initiative has been taken to control the traffic in Comilla on the occasion of Autumn Durgotsava-2024 under the overall management of the district administration and funded by the district council.
Adarsh ​​Sadar organized a special training on traffic management at Comilla District School Auditorium on Tuesday (October 08).
Upazila Administration. 150 volunteers were trained to work in traffic control.
Addressing the chief guest at the orientation program organized in the auditorium of Comilla Zilla School, Deputy Commissioner Amirul Qaiser said, “It is a great achievement for us that young people are coming forward for this kind of public welfare voluntary work. I believe that a radical change will be initiated in the traffic management of Comilla metropolis by the hands of young people.”
Extensive preparations have been made around the traffic management for the upcoming Autumn Durga Puja 2024 and beyond. This includes removing all kinds of obstructions from the road, reducing the number of autos, making some roads one-way etc.
