Bangladesh’s confidence is high after the historic series win in Pakistan. Nazmul Hossain Shanta’s team has entered Chennai with the dream of defeating India in the series. Even before leaving the country, the Tiger captain expressed his expectation of victory. India captain Rohit Sharma spoke about the upcoming series.

At a press conference in Chennai on Tuesday (September 17), Rohit said about Bangladesh, “All teams want to beat India.” Wants to enjoy losing us. Let them (Bangladesh) have fun. Played against many types of teams. We will only think about our own game.

In the press conference, Rohit said that everyone wants to beat India. Everyone enjoys losing India. Well, let Bangladesh do the talking. Let them have fun. England also spoke a lot before the Test series against us. But our job is to respond with on-field performance. When England came, there was a lot of talk in the press conference. But we didn’t lose focus by listening, we focused on our game. This time too we have the same goal – to play good cricket and win matches.

However, in response to another question, Rohit said that Bangladesh should be seen through Samih’s eyes. He also reminded about the recent performance of Bangladesh. However, Rohit also said that he will give his best to win against Bangladesh. He said, Bangladesh team is playing very well, there is no chance to take them lightly as opponents. But our main goal will be to present our best performance on the field.

Note that before this important series the statistics do not speak for Bangladesh. Bangladesh has lost against India in 11 of the 13 Tests played so far. In five of those, the Tigers lost by an innings. However, Bangladesh drew two Tests with the blessing of rain. Tigers are yet to win against India.

The first Test of the two-Test series between Bangladesh and India will begin on Thursday (September 19) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. The second and final Test is scheduled to be played by the two teams from September 27 in Kanpur. Both the Tests will start at 10 am Bangladesh time. Then the T20 series. After the first T20 in Gwalior on 6 October, the second and third T20 will be held on 9 and 12 October. All the matches of this series will be day and night.
