Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Shaheen Imran said, corruption is our national disease. It creates economic disparity in society and disrupts balanced state development. We have to take a stand against corruption based on patriotism, ideals and moral values. If each of us can root out corruption from our respective positions in the light of patriotism, morality and social responsibility, then every citizen of the country will enjoy the benefits and our image will be bright in the international arena. He said these things in the speech of the chief guest at the scholarship awarding ceremony of Satta Sangh to poor and meritorious students in the conference room. Deputy Director Md. Monirul Islam presided over the event organized by Cox’s Bazar district office comprising anti-corruption commission.
