Although many leaders and workers of district cities across the country have gone into hiding after the fall of the Awami government, the leaders and workers of various police stations in our Bogra city have not forgotten to go into hiding. Even though everyone has left, Ward No. 9 Awami League President Mehdi Hasan Meter and Secretary Golam Azam Tikul are still alive. Due to the party’s power for 17 consecutive years, both the president and secretary have become banana trees. Mehdi Hasan Meter had a tin shed house, which is now a 6th floor house. These two people took over the TCB Atta Rice dealership by using their party influence. After inquiring with the people of the area, it was learned that these two used to sell most of the rice flour in the black market instead of distributing it to the general consumers. In this way, they have embezzled lakhs of taka for 17 years in the hope of more profit. It is known that these two used to use the positions of ward committee president and general secretary to give donations at different times to no workers, it is known that they used to divide the share among themselves. Further inquiry revealed that General Secretary Golam Azam Tikul used to take out entrepreneurial loans from various banks by disguising the name of the party and introducing himself as an industrial entrepreneur. After inquiring in the area, it was learned that he used to spend the money on interest. He does not have his own industrial factory. He only took this benefit by making some fake papers. He used to lobby for various works, notably lobbying for farm houses, machine supply to the Ministry of Agriculture, and lobbying for bank loans. It is also known that he has firearms. This leader used to introduce himself as a businessman and a VIP. In the 2018 national elections, he forced ordinary voters to vote by openly showing a revolver at the Bogra Central High School polling station. It is also known that this leader works with the SME Foundation. There is an organization called Home Pause and he is the president of the organization. When inquired about this in the Bogra Railway Market, it was learned that many people said that he is the only one. There is no full-fledged committee, no office, no signboard, no chair table. He has been embezzling money from SME by changing the names of various events for a long time. This leader is currently roaming around in public in good health by liaisoning with BNP leaders. It has been alleged that the agents of the previous Fasit are still continuing their evil deeds even during the Devil Hunt operation.
