Two organizations, Lekhak-Kavi Samaj and Jatiya Sanskritik Biplob, have surrounded the Bangla Academy demanding the removal of fascist accomplices and punishment of those involved in the Bangla Academy Literary Award scandal.
They held a rally in front of the Bangla Academy around 12 noon on Sunday (January 26). Speakers at the rally demanded the establishment of a fascism-free Bangla Academy.
At that time, Abid Azad, convener of the Lekhak-Kavi Samaj, said that the fascists have fallen due to the uprising of the student masses. Despite facing this reality, we have to stand here to stop the violence of the fascists. We demand the immediate cancellation of the Bangla Academy Literary Award and punishment of those involved in this award scandal.

Poet Shams Musa said, Bangla Academy Director General Mohammad Azam has failed to protect the cultural revolution he promised by standing on the blood of the student masses. We believe that culture is sovereignty. If you play with it, play a game of farce, we will definitely resist it with a strong hand. Just as we resisted all the friends of tyranny.
Poet Mahbub Hasan said, Bangla Academy Literary Award is given to those who have been brokering fascism for a long time. Literary Award is given to people in drama. Those who took a stand against the movement by insulting the blood of martyrs are given that award. So, what kind of award is it? The awards of some have been postponed. We want their awards to be canceled.
