Bangladesh Editors Forum’s Journalists’ Meet-up -2025 celebrated

The annual banquet and journalist meetup 2025 of the national daily newspaper organization Bangladesh Editors Forum has been held. In his inaugural speech, poet, roots seeker and sociologist Professor Dr. Md. Nazrul Islam Tamiji called for preserving the dignity of newspapers. Justice Abdus Salam Mamun was present as the chief guest at the grand event held on Saturday (January 4, 2025) at Kazirgaon Mudran Nagari under the chairmanship of BEF Chairman Mizanur Rahman Chowdhury and conducted by Secretary General Omar Faruk Jalal.

Jagrat Mahanayak Shihab Rifat Alam was present as the main discussant. Alhaj Md. Nurul Islam, Central Vice Chairman of Bangladesh Nationalist Citizens’ Movement, was present as the guest of honor.

Bangladesh Editors Forum Advisor Shamsul Hoque Daurrani was present as a special guest. Also present were Senior Vice President Alobarta and Editor of Daily State Rafiq Ullah Sikder, Vice President Daily Tathadhara Editor Jahangir Alam Khan, Editor of Daily Swadesh Bichitra Ashok Dhar. Organizing Secretary Rafiqul Islam Kajal, Editor of Crime Investigation, Women’s Affairs Editor Nurun Nahar Rita, Editor of Daily Nabajiban, Finance Affairs Editor Kamruzzaman Joni, Editor of Daily Muktir Yali, Publicity Secretary Rumjal Hossain Rubel, Editor of Daily Banglar Nabakanth.

The members included Ashraf Sarkar (Editor, Dainik Ekushey Bani), Md. Rezaul Karim (Editor, Dainik Matribhumir Khabor), Rafiqul Islam Shanto (Editor, Dainik Tarun Kantho), Md. Moniruzzaman (Editor, Bank Bima Economise), Syed Nazmul Islam (Editor, Dainik Sharogram), Md. Al-Amin (Editor, Dainik Nabakantho), Md. Delwar Hossain (Editor, Dainik Probasir Katha), Md. Obaidul Haque Sarkar (Editor, Dainik Sarkar), Fazlur Rahman Zulfikar (Editor, Dainik Dine Alo), Weekly Newspaper Editor Ahmed Subir and others.

Newspaper editors and journalists enjoyed various activities throughout the day, including chats, cultural programs, men’s and women’s pillow passes, and raffle draws.

Despite their busy schedules, editors and journalists, along with their families, participated in this gathering organized at a quiet place in Keraniganj Mudron Nagari, Dhaka.
