Ebadat Mirza, son of Mirza clan in Mirzapur, Tangail. Involved with BNP politics by birth. Ebadat Mirza is the one who spread the original document during the period of the coalition government. If BNP is not in power, the power has not decreased except for Mirza. He has been trading sand illegally for two centuries in collusion with some leaders of the local Awami League and some dishonest officials of the administration. Locals complain that they built huge empires and multi-storied buildings by trading sand.

It can be seen from the surface, that Mirza has made an illegal soil ghat adjacent to the Ekabbar Hossain bridge built by the government at the cost of crores of rupees in Trimohan area of Latifpur union of Mirzapur upazila. Two VECU machines are installed at Balur Ghat and hundreds of trucks are selling soil elsewhere. On the one hand, the bridge worth crores of rupees is under threat due to the soil being cut from under the bridge and sold. On the other hand, government roads are turning into potholes due to truck traffic. Every night at 8 o’clock the worship service starts. In view of the powerful BNP leader Ebadat, he said he took a good picture. I manage this business by managing the local administration. Proudly, he also said, even if I am BNP, Awami League leaders will not be able to say anything in front of me. Because we have BNPO in our lineage – Awami League too.
Many people who did not want to be named said that Mirza went abroad without being able to get any benefits in the country. Not being able to get benefits from abroad, he moved to the country. After coming to the country, Bansai started selling sand from the river. After that, he never looked back. In two years, he became the owner of billions of rupees. Australia and empire built on a large scale. No one dares to open his mouth against him. If anyone protested, he was threatened with false charges and threatened with death.
Locals also said that by illegally selling sand, they made crores of money and spent that money on BNP’s agenda. Recently he is coming out of jail. After getting out of jail, he is becoming more reckless. On the bank of the river, in the crop land of Anya, Jorpurpak pays only Rs. If the landowners say something, his forces are used against the landowners.
After investigation, it is known that in this upazila, there are hundreds of illegal clay ghats, not only for worship, but also for worship. The victims said that the reckless trucks of that mud ghat move at night. Common people cannot move properly on the road due to the traffic of trucks. Houses on the side of the road are piled up with dust. Cooked food spoils. Children are affected by various diseases. They want an end to such activities. They also said that the administration sometimes conducted mobile operations, but with the connivance of some dishonest officials, they conducted these operations again.
In this regard, Mirzapur Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Masudur Rahman said, after being informed about the matter, a mobile court operation was conducted at Balu Ghat of Ibadat Mirza on Tuesday, February 13. Three trucks were seized and the manager was arrested and a fine of 350,000 taka was collected. He also said that the administration’s mobile court campaign will continue to stop illegal sand traders in Mirzapur.
