A complaint has been made against Kawsar Amin Hawladar alias Malta Kawsar, who is the cup-pearl marker candidate in the upcoming Dumki Upazila Parishad election, for beating up the workers-supporters of the opposition candidate who could not survive in the election field. In the last 24 hours, there has been a complaint of beating three workers of Pineapple Marker in Muradia Union. Both of them were killed directly by Malta Kawsar, the victims alleged.
On the other hand, due to the attack last night (Thursday), Md Riaz, the son of cup-pearl marker supporter Majid Mahari, was beaten up by the pineapple marker supporters at the board office market at around 12 noon today.
Talking to the eyewitnesses and the victims on the ground, it is known that at noon today Malta Kawsar along with his 10/12 accomplices brutally beat Md Jhantu Hawlader son of deceased Khorshed Hawlader and Abdur Razzak son of Atahar Sharif of Chargarbadi village near the pineapple marker.
Jhuntu Howladar, a pineapple worker who was beaten up, said that he was going home after closing the shop at noon (Friday). At that time Malta saw Kausar’s car and asked his auto driver to stop and give him a side. On seeing him on the other side, Malta Kawsar told his staff to hold each one, throat slit. When I called him, he pulled the car without stopping. I also walk towards home. After some time I saw him coming to me with 10/12 people. In between, a piglet named Tipu grabbed my Genji by the collar and started beating me because of what the piglet of Malta Kawsa said. After that his people started beating me in any way they could. 50,000 taka with me was taken away by his (Kowsar’s) people. When I kept beating Elopathari by throwing them on the ground, the people of the area came forward and let me go. Malta Kawsar and his men beat Abdur Razzak, the head of the same village, when they came to save Jhantu. The victims of beating said that the supporters of Dumki, Lebukhali and Pangashia were with Malta Kawsar. That’s why he didn’t recognize everyone.
Earlier, the Conduct Magistrate fined 50,000 taka against Malta Kawsar for violating the election code of conduct on Thursday evening. Earlier last (Thursday) at 10 o’clock in the night Mo Farooq Hossain Khan, son of pineapple marker supporter Ganjor Hossain Khan was beaten up and seriously injured by the people of Kawsar Amin Howladar, candidate of cup-piritch marker. Farooq is seriously injured and is now admitted to the hospital. Kawsar Amin Hawladar’s phone number was not answered because he did not receive his statement. Pineapple marker candidate Mehdi Hasan Mizan said that the opposition party is trying to make the environment chaotic without being able to survive in the election field. However, he also said that he has informed the local police station out of respect for the law. In a Facebook Live, he directed the activist supporters to campaign in a peaceful atmosphere and not fall prey to the opposition.
