The current upazila chairman Dr. Ahsanul Alam Sarkar Kishor is going to be elected as upazila chairman for the second consecutive time in Muradnagar. Although there are three candidates for the post of upazila chairman, Dr. Ahsanul Alam Sarkar Kishore is moving towards victory as they are not in the field. In the scrutiny of the nomination papers of the candidates for the upcoming Muradnagar upazila parishad election, the nominations of three candidates were cancelled. Later, two candidates appealed and got their nomination papers back, but they are not in the field now. Former General Secretary of Comilla North District Awami League and present Comilla-3, Honorable Member of Parliament of Muradnagar Constituency Alhaj Jahangir Alam Sarkar, former General Secretary of Comilla North District Sechsevak League and Joint General Secretary of Muradnagar Upazila Awami League Dr. Ahsanul Alam Sarkar to the youth voters at the polling station. He is working day and night to bring and plowing the fields in every village of the 22 unions of Muradnagar upazila. It is known that Dr. Ahsanul Alam Sarkar Kishor was elected upazila chairman for the first time in the 2019 upazila council elections with a huge margin of votes. In this year’s sixth upazila parishad election, he became a candidate with the support of general voters. Dr. Ahsanul Alam Sarkar Kishor is going to be elected upazila chairman for the second time as no other candidate is actively in the field except him.
