An Iftar Mahfil and discussion meeting was held at the administrative building of Comilla Medical College on Sunday (March 16) at 5 pm under the initiative of the Doctors Association of Bangladesh (DAB) Comilla Medical College branch.
The discussion meeting was presided over by DAB Comilla Medical College Branch President Dr. Mihajur Rahman Tarek and the program was moderated by DAB Comilla Medical College Branch General Secretary Dr. Md. Shafiqur Rahman.
Comilla Metropolitan BNP General Secretary Yusuf Molla Tipu, Comilla South District BNP member Ashiqur Rahman Mahmud Wasim, Comilla Metropolitan BNP President Udbatul Bari Abu, and BNP National Executive Committee (Comilla Division) Co-Organizing Secretary Haji Mostaq Mia were present as special guests at the event.
Comilla South District BNP convener, BNP Central Committee Employment Affairs Secretary and former MP Zakaria Taher Suman spoke as the chief guest at the Iftar Mahfil program of Doctors Association of Bangladesh (DAB) Comilla Medical College branch. Speaking, he said that the role of doctors in the fall of the Awami League government is immense. If doctors are humane and provide proper treatment, people will not be interested in seeking treatment in India from Bangladesh. Let us make humane and provide proper treatment to patients a priority. Let us work shoulder to shoulder for the Bangladesh Nationalist Party.
At this time, political leaders of Comilla South District BNP and Comilla Metropolitan BNP affiliates, as well as prominent doctors and medical college students of Comilla, joined this iftar mahfil.
Later, Dr. Iqbal Anwar led the prayer for the welfare of the country and the nation, and for the recovery and good health of Begum Khaleda Zia.
