The district law and order meeting was held in Pirojpur under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Ashraful Alam Khan.
On Monday (October 14) at 10 am, a discussion meeting was held in the Shaheed Abdur Razzak-Saif Mizan memorial hall of the Deputy Commissioner’s office.
Lieutenant Colonel Ariful Islam participated in the discussion among others.Superintendent of Police Pirojpur Khan Muhammad Abu Nasser, Executive Engineer Road Department Pirojpur, Tanveer Ahmed, Deputy Director of Department of Social Services Md Iqbal Kabir, Medical Officer of Pirojpur District Hospital Dr Md Arif Hasan, President of Pirojpur Press Club, Rezaul Islam Shamim, Daily Ittefaq Staff Reporter Moniruzzaman Nasim Ali, General Secretary of Pirojpur Model Journalist Union Md Abu Zafar etc.
In the meeting, speakers, public representatives, marriage registers and administration should be vocal in preventing child marriage, drugs, terrorism and militancy. Mothers should work to raise awareness about the evils of child marriage. Mentioning that drugs are paralyzing the society, the speakers said that drugs should be stopped to protect the youth. They directed the administration to take steps to adopt a zero tolerance role in child marriage and drugs.
