This organization is conducting emergency relief and assistance activities in various areas affected by floods in Laksam-Manoharganj upazila under the initiative of Swab Bangladesh. For the past few days, humanitarian and development workers of Sawab Bangladesh organization distributed 25 kg of rice, flour, chira, soap, sugar, salt, pulses and a foot pack weighing 43 to 48 kg and cooked food to 6500 families affected by floods in different areas of two upazilas. .
In the initiative of Swab Bangladesh and with the overall cooperation of Asaduzzaman Bhutto of Laxam Protection City, foot packs were distributed among 400 families affected by vanvasi at Laxam Pilot High School ground on Tuesday afternoon.
Maulana Mushtaq Faizi, president of Nagaish Darbar Sharif Complex, spoke as the chief guest at the food distribution event, while Laksam Upazila Executive Officer Abdul Hai Siddiqui, Aftabuzzaman – Director Operations, Md. Lokman Hossain – Program Manager, Swab. Shahidul Islam, Lecturer and Politician, SM Emdadul Islam – Deputy Manager – Monitoring Department. Khorshed Alam, Deputy Manager, Fund Raising, Abu Saeed Mollah, Assistant Manager Program Department Shahidul Islam were present.
