A discussion meeting, Milad and Doa Mahfil were held in Pubail, Gazipur to pray for the recovery of former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia.
The event was organized by the Metropolitan BNP and Jubo Dal on the east side of the Jama Masjid in Khilgaon Uttar Para, Pubail Police Station, Gazipur Metropolitan City, after Isha prayer on Wednesday (January 29).
Alhaj Sultan Uddin Ahmed, former councilor of Ward No. 42 of Gazipur City Corporation, presided over the event, and Alhaj Afzal Hossain Kaiser, former chairman of Gazipur Sadar Upazila Parishad and former vice-president of Metropolitan BNP, spoke as the chief guest. During this, he prayed for the recovery of Begum Khaleda Zia and said, Begum Khaleda Zia, the three-time Prime Minister of Bangladesh. She is the advocate of democracy. She gave hope of democracy to crores of people of the country. The heroine of the conspiracy, Sheikh Hasina, had kept Begum Khaleda Zia in a state of torture and oppression for so long. He also said, if you elect BNP in the next national elections, all your troubles will be gone, Insha Allah.
Among others, former vice-president of Metropolitan BNP Syed Md. Akhteruzzaman, former general secretary of Gazipur District Jubo Dal Md. Mokhlesur Rahman, advocate Md. Labib Uddin Siddiqui, professor of Kazi Azimuddin College Md. Nazrul Islam spoke at the event. Former general secretaries of Municipal Jubo Dal Md. Rafiz Uddin, Md. Shahin Mia were present at the event. The event was inaugurated by Md. Farid Alam Chowdhury. The event was moderated by Md. Arif Hossain Zia, former member of Gazipur District Jubo Dal. Leaders of Metropolitan BNP and other affiliated organizations were also present at the event. After the discussion, prayers and Milad Mahfil, Tabarock was distributed among everyone.
