On Monday, February 19, under World Vision Bangladesh Dinajpur Epithor organized by Najma Garden Community Center Auditorium, financial assistance was provided among the beneficiaries of selected poor and extreme poor families under the conditional financial support program-2024 to increase family income.
Faisal Rahman, Dinajpur Sadar Upazila Executive Officer, provided financial support as the chief guest under the chairmanship of Arvind Sylvester Gomez, senior manager of Dinajpur AP, World Vision Bangladesh. Upazila Livestock Officer Dr Md Golam Kibria, Upazila Social Service Officer Md Asaduzzaman, Upazila Agriculture Officer Md Moniruzzaman spoke as special guests. Kajal Dey, technical expert of animal resources department of World SD Vision Dinajpur gave the welcome speech. Program Officer Richard Tapas Das officiated. Program Manager Dino Das was in overall management. Dinajpur Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Faisal Rahman, while giving 18,000 taka per person and 333 taka for development cost to 40 small businessmen, 13 goat breeders, 328 cow breeders and 328 cattle breeders in the ceremony, said that at the grassroots level, to support the poor families and World Vision provides financial support for the development of backward communities. We think this is a commendable initiative.
In the speech of the President, Senior Manager Arvind Sylvester Gomez said that the Village Development Committee will one day work on registration as a Community Based Organization (CBO) from the Department of Social Services and the Department of Cooperatives. Program officers John Murmu and Palash Krush and Victoria Biswas were present on the occasion.
