Dinajpur Deputy Civil Surgeon Dr. Shah Muhammad Sharif said that 3 lakh 82 thousand 908 children in Dinajpur district will be fed Vitamin ‘A’ Plus capsules on March 15.
He told this to journalists at an orientation workshop with journalists on the occasion of the National Vitamin ‘A’ Plus Campaign-2025 organized by the National Nutrition Service, Public Health Nutrition Institute, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Wednesday, March 12, at the conference room of the 250-bed General Hospital.
He also told the journalists that this time, 40,767 children aged 6 to 11 months and 3,82,141 children aged 12 to 59 months, a total of 3,82,908 people will be fed Vitamin E capsules. For this, 15 permanent centers will be opened, 2,589 temporary centers, 12 additional centers (at the upazila and union levels), a total of 2,616. The number of field workers and volunteers is 179 in HA, 394 in FW. 5,232 volunteers, a total of 5,805 field workers and volunteers are performing their duties. During this, he answered questions from journalists working in print and electronic media in Dinajpur on various issues. MOCS Hossain Mohammad Nahid Plabon served as the moderator of the workshop. Senior Health Education Officer of the Civil Surgeon’s Office Saiful Islam was present at the time. District EPI Superintendent Md. Saiful Islam was in overall supervision.
