In the last 24 hours, 285 people have been hospitalized due to Aedes mosquito-borne dengue fever. This year is the highest number of dengue patients admitted to the hospital in one day. With this, the total number of patients admitted to the hospital increased to 937. One person has died of dengue in the last 24 hours.

According to the Department of Health, 285 people were admitted to various public and private hospitals of the country due to dengue infection from 8 am on Wednesday (June 14) to 8 am on Thursday. Among them 237 residents of Dhaka and 48 outside Dhaka.
From January 1 to June 15 of this year, four thousand 87 people were admitted to the hospital due to dengue. Among them, 3 thousand 148 people were admitted to public and private hospitals in the capital and 939 people were admitted to other departments outside Dhaka.
On the other hand, 3 thousand 121 people have been discharged from the hospital. Among them 2 thousand 358 residents of Dhaka and 763 outside Dhaka. Meanwhile, 29 people died in the country due to dengue.
In the outgoing year i.e. 2022, 281 people died due to dengue in the history of the country. 27 people died in December, the last month of the year. At the same time, 62 thousand 382 people were admitted to the hospital due to dengue that year.
During the corona epidemic in 2020, dengue infection was not seen much, but in 2021, 28 thousand 429 people were infected with dengue fever across the country. That year, 105 people died of dengue in the country.
