The elections for the 2024-2026 biennial term of the Bangladesh Reconditioned Vehicles Importers and Dealers Association (BARVIDA), a national-based trade organization of traders involved in the import, marketing and supply of reconditioned automobiles to the country’s transport fleet for the last 45 years, were held with great enthusiasm and enthusiasm on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at Hotel Pubani International, Dhaka, and a 25-member executive council was elected.
The Democratic Council led by Abdul Haque won an absolute majority in the election.
The election was conducted by the Chairman of the Barvida Election Board, former First Vice President of FBCCI, Mohammad Ali, members Md. Shariful Islam Bhorsa and Md. Miraj Ali Chishti.
On 23 December 2024, elections were held for 12 officer positions from among the members of the Executive Council. In the election, founding president Abdul Haque was elected unopposed as the president of Barviva for the fourth time. Prominent businessman Riaz Rahman, owner of Riaz Motors, was elected as the secretary general.
