DIG Rezaul Karim Mallik has been appointed as the Detective (DB) Chief of Dhaka Metropolitan Police.
This appointment was made in an office order signed by DMP Commissioner Md Mainul Hasan on Sunday (September 1).
Rezaul Karim Mallick joined Bangladesh Police in 1998. He is a 17th BCS batch officer (DIG).
Meanwhile, in a notification signed by Md Mahabur Rahman Sheikh, Deputy Secretary of Public Security Department (Police-1 Branch) of the Ministry of Home Affairs, 26 officers of the rank of Deputy Inspector General (DIG) and Additional DIG of Bangladesh Police have been transferred.
Earlier in July 2022, Mohammad Harun Ur Rashid was appointed as the head of the Intelligence (DB) Division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police.
