A day-long workshop was held to enhance the skills and professionalism of teachers at International Standard University (ISU). Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Abdul Awal Khan inaugurated the workshop organized by ISU’s Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at the university’s Mohakhali campus on Monday.
ISU teachers participated in the event titled “Training Workshop on Back Accreditation for Academic Programs”. IQAC Director Professor Dr. Md. Ekramul Haque presided over the event, while Dean of the Faculty of Business Education Professor Dr. Manjur Morshed Mahmud, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology Professor Md. Abul Kashem were present as special guests. IQAC Additional Director Dr. Monirul Hasan Masum was also present.
ISU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Abdul Awal Khan said, “Through this workshop, teachers will be able to further enhance their educational and professional skills and will be able to know the standards of Bangladesh Accreditation Council (BAC). ISU is working with emphasis on curriculum development in light of the University Grants Commission and the OBE of Bangladesh Accreditation Council (BAC).
The Vice Chancellor also said that there is no alternative to training for improving the quality of teachers and communication skills must be improved for friendly student-teacher relations. Teachers have to play a key role in shaping the better lives of students.
