Cyclone Rimal has lost strength and has become a land depression. Currently staying in Jessore and nearby places. By Monday (May 27) afternoon, Rimal will pass through Sylhet around the capital Dhaka and cross Bangladesh.
The maximum rainfall of 220 mm has occurred in Chittagong under the influence of Cyclone Rimal. The maximum wind speed was 111 km per hour in Khepupara of Patuakhali.
Meteorology Ofim has said that Bangladesh will cross the Rimal by tomorrow Tuesday. The cyclone is weakening due to rain. Due to its weakening, Payra and Mongla seaports have been asked to lower distress signal No. 10 and show local signal No. 3.
