CU students protested by breaking lock given by BCL, vandalizing the police car

To stop the quota agitating students in Cumilla University (CU), the students broke the lock given by the BCL and held a protest march. Currently they are staying on the highway. Also, the agitating students vandalized a police car located next to Vishwa Road.
Today Tuesday (July 16) students protested against the attack of BCL on protesting students in various educational institutions across the country.
At that time, thousands of students from various institutions including Cumilla Polytechnic Institute, Cumilla Victoria Government College, Cumilla Government College joined the protesting students of Comilla University.
It can be seen from the ground that the procession started from the old block of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Hall and went around Kazi Nazrul Islam Hall, Shahid Dhirendranath Dutta Hall, Sheikh Hasina Hall and Nawab Faizunnessa Hall before entering the university. After that, they broke the lock given by the Chhatra League in the new block of Bangabandhu Hall adjacent to the mosque, rescued the protesting students and crossed the Kotbari junction and reached the Dhaka-Chittagong highway. Also, the students vandalized a police car which was stationary on the side of Bishwa Road. As of this writing, the students are currently blocking the highway.
Meanwhile, the students started shouting slogans with bamboo, pipes and sticks in their hands. They said, ‘Who am I? who are you Razakar, Razakat’ said? Who said? Dictatorship, Dictatorship’, ‘Break the black hand of Chhatra League, turn it around’, ‘There is no room for discrimination in Bangabandhu’s Bengal’, ‘There is no room for discrimination in my golden Bengal’, ‘Why the attack on DU? The administration wants answers’, ‘Why the attack on Jabi? The administration wants to answer, why the attack on Chabi? The administration wants an answer’,
Earlier, students of Mass Communication and Journalism Department of Cumilla University (CU) who participated in the quota movement today at 11:00 a.m. are forming a human chain to protest against the attack of Chhatra League on Farhad Kausar, a student of Mass Communication and Journalism Department.
In addition, around half a hundred BCL leaders resigned from yesterday till today afternoon in protest against the BCL attack.
