Sports Reporter : Crowds of spectators throng the first match of BPL at Sher-e-Bangla It is not a holiday. Schools, colleges, offices and courts are all open on Monday. Even then, there is no shortage of spectators’ excitement about the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). The gallery was filled with spectators in the first match at Sher-e-Bangla in Mirpur. A huge crowd of spectators was also observed at the stadium gate. The pressure from the spectators was so high that two hours before the start of the game, the crazy behavior of spectators who did not get tickets outside Gate No. 2, the main entrance of the Home of Cricket, created an extremely chaotic situation. The spectators tried to enter the main gate through Gate No. 2 without getting tickets. At one point, they broke the security fence of the gate and entered the stadium. This unexpected incident aside, this frenzy of spectators is positive in an event like BPL. Especially in the previous BPL, there was this excitement in Sylhet and Chittagong, but the audience in Dhaka was less. This time, there were quite a few spectators. The first match is between Fortune Barisal and Duronto Rajshahi. The second match is between Dhaka Capitals and Rangpur Riders in the evening. The audience excitement will undoubtedly increase in that high-voltage match. The one and a half month long 11th season of BPL will start on December 30 and will continue until 7 February .
