The District Tourism Development Committee meeting was held in Cox’s Bazar at the initiative of the district administration. The meeting was held at the Shahid ATM Zafar Alam Conference Room of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office on Wednesday afternoon. It was presided over by Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Salahuddin. In his speech, the Deputy Commissioner said that the potential of the tourism industry in Cox’s Bazar should be explored for its desired development. Apart from this, the opportunities for the development of the tourism industry should also be utilized in a planned manner with the coordination of all.
Additional Superintendent of Police Md. Jasim Uddin Chowdhury, Additional District Magistrate Imran Hossain Sajeeb, Tourist Police Inspector Zahid Hossain, Executive Magistrate of Tourism Cell Tanvir Hossain, President of Cox’s Bazar Press Club Journalist Mahbubur Rahman, President of TUAK MM Sadeq Labu, President of Guesthouse Owners Association Abul Kashem Sikder, Student Coordinator Rabiul Hossain and many others spoke at the meeting. Officials from various government and private departments and tourism-related people were present at the meeting. Various issues including ensuring the safety of tourists, diversifying the tourism industry, making the beach free from hawkers and beggars, connecting road lighting in tourist areas were discussed in the meeting. Earlier, the overall activities of the Tourist Guide Travel Mobile App developed by the district administration were highlighted.
