The court granted the bail application of a total of 32 accused, including 24 current students and 7 ex-students of the BUET of Tanguar Haor, Sunamganj’s Tahirpur. At 12 noon on Wednesday, the bail hearing and the remand application filed by the police were heard in the absence of the accused in the presence of their parents. Judge in the court; After listening to Farhan Sadiq’s lawyer and the state police for a long time, the court granted the bail application of the arrested. Meanwhile, the court asked the parents of the accused to answer various questions. After listening to the arguments of both sides for 40 minutes, bail applications of 32 out of 34 accused were granted. He gave bail to each of them through a bond of 5000 rupees. It is to be noted that on July 30, the students of BUET came to visit Sunamganj’s Tangua Haor. After the tour of Tangua Hao, they were on their way to Takerghat area of Tahirpur upazila and were arrested by the police of Tahirpur police station from Dumper Bazar area. Later, they were sent to jail through the court by filing a case against them under the Anti-Terrorism Act. The court judge granted bail to the accused on Wednesday. Taybur Rahman Babul, the lawyer for the accused, said that after listening to the arguments of the accused and the state, the judge of the court, Farhan Sadiq, did not grant the request for remand. Bail applications were filed for 32 accused today. The court granted the bail application of 32 persons with a surety of Tk 5,000 each.
