Keeping in front of this slogan “Pension now universal in the future with happiness” – organized by the district administration, with the aim of bringing the elderly population of Dinajpur district under a sustainable and well-organized social security structure, a ‘coordinating meeting regarding the implementation of the universal pension scheme’ was held. On Monday 28 August-2023 at 11 am in Dinajpur Deputy Commissioner’s conference room, Deputy Commissioner Shakil Ahmed, the president of the program, gave the opening speech in the coordination meeting regarding the implementation of universal pension scheme. At the beginning of the program, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Debashish Chowdhury presented various issues related to the implementation of universal pension scheme through a projector. In the speech of the President, Deputy Commissioner Shakeel Ahmed said, I am seeking everyone’s cooperation regarding the implementation of the universal pension scheme of the Honorable Prime Minister. Along with this, Dinajpur district is the most in Rangpur division so that everyone should come forward for this matter to be implemented. The District Commissioner urged everyone to work sincerely and said that the district administration is always by your side. Note that public pension scheme can be done in four categories (progressive scheme, expatriate scheme, protection scheme and equality scheme). Heads of all district level offices, upazila parishad chairmen, upazila executive officers, municipal mayors, print and electronic media journalists were present on the occasion.
