120 students who passed HSC from Brahmanbaria Government College and got good opportunities at higher level were felicitated. In 2022, these students get opportunities in different universities including BUET-Medical. They were given a reception by the government college at around 12 noon on Saturday at the LT building of the college.
Principal of the college Professor Khan Rafiqul Islam was present as the chief guest on the occasion. Chaired by Vice Principal Hamza Mahmud, former Principal Professor Bibhuti Bhushan Debnath, Secretary of Teachers Council Professor A Z M Arif Hossain, Professor Abu Saleh Mohammad Naeem Uddin and Assistant Director of Secondary and Higher Education Directorate (Government College-1) Tarekul Islam were present among others. Prothom Alo’s own reporter Shahadat Hossain and Brahmanbaria Government College Branch Chhatra League general secretary Jobair Mahmud delivered the welcome speech. In the speech of the guests, the teachers of the college said,
“Currently, the education environment and infrastructure of the college has been greatly improved. Quality teachers have come to the college. The meaning of education has also changed a lot. The test results are getting better. College vice-principal Hamza Mahmud said that many students from the 2022 HSC batch of the college got opportunities in different universities of the country. So far, 120 students have been admitted in different universities, including 7 students in medical, 5 students in BUET, 20 students in Dhaka University, 12 students in Chuet. Give them a reception. This kind of organization is the first since the college.
