New Superintendent of Police Md. Saidul Islam BPM(Seba)PPM exchanged views with journalists in Comilla. The exchange meeting was organized in the conference room of the Police Superintendent’s office on Wednesday (July 10) at noon.
Saidul Islam, who joined Comilla as District Superintendent of Police, interacted with journalists on his first working day. At the time, he expressed his determination to work with utmost importance in improving the law and order situation in Comilla, drug control, suppressing juvenile gangs. He promised to speed up humane policing activities by making the police more friendly with the public and speeding up the policing service.
Moreover, he assured to take strict measures to suppress crimes including theft, robbery, robbery. Call for social boycott of drug dealers and users.
He sought the cooperation of journalists in improving law and order and suppressing crime. Police Superintendent Saidul Islam previously served as Patuakhali District Superintendent.
He said, I will try to keep the people of Comilla well. Journalists are the mirror of society. We want you to present the true news if someone in the police has done something wrong. Whatever news is published, let it be true. Now whether it is for me or against me. Don’t point out my wrongdoing because of your relationship with me so that it doesn’t happen. You will never deviate from the basic principles of journalism. I will never be disheartened if any news goes against me. You will do your work. We the district police will do our work. We will all do whatever it takes to keep the people of Comilla well. I am starting activities for the welfare of Comilla residents with your help.
I will say to the people of Comilla, I can’t do anything without your help. You will also obey the traffic laws on the road. Do not act against the law. I want to keep your Comilla good with you.
