Daudkandi Assistant Commissioner (Land) Redwan Islam was conducting a mobile court during illegal sand extraction using a dredger in Daudkandi Upazila of Comilla. At this time, miscreants got angry and attacked the Assistant Commissioner (Land) of Daudkandi Upazila, the Assistant Land Officer and the police who were with him. The Assistant Land Officer and a police member were injured in this. The incident took place at 12 noon on Thursday in the Iliatganj South Lakshipur area of ​​Daudkandi Upazila.

The injured are Joynal Abedin, assistant land officer of Daudkandi Upazila, and Mohsin Hossain, deputy police inspector of Daudkandi Police Station.
Daudkandi Assistant Commissioner (Land) Redwan Islam said, “We were conducting a mobile court based on information that sand was being extracted illegally in the Lakshipur area of ​​Elliotganj South Union of Daudkandi Upazila. At that time, some people came and stopped us. At one point, they got angry and attacked us. Assistant Land Officer Joynal Abedin and a deputy police inspector of Daudkandi Police Station, Mohsin Hossain, were injured in the incident. The injured were rescued and taken to Daudkandi Upazila Health Complex for primary treatment.”
Daudkandi Police Station Officer-in-Charge Junayed Chowdhury said that the mobile court conducted a raid during illegal sand extraction. At that time, miscreants attacked Daudkandi Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Redwan Islam and the police members who were with him. Daudkandi Police Station Deputy Police Inspector Mohsin Hossain and Assistant Land Officer Joynal Abedin were injured while trying to save Daudkandi Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Redwan Islam. Legal action will be taken against those involved in this incident immediately.
In this regard, Daudkandi Upazila Executive Officer Naima Islam said, “The miscreants have obstructed government work. Legal action will be taken against those involved in this incident.”
