Comilla Correspondent : A young man was arrested with a foreign pistol in the operation of District Intelligence Police in Comilla. This time 8 rounds along with a magazine were recovered from him.
He was arrested from a place called Sarkar Market in Charipara Chowmuni Bazaar of Daudkandi Upazila on Tuesday late night.
Comilla District Intelligence Police Officer-in-Charge Md. Sajjad Karim Khan confirmed the arrest.
The arrested Noor Mohammad (40) is the son of deceased Mofazzar Ali of Charipara area of Daudkandi upazila.
According to the police, a team of District Intelligence Police led by Deputy Police Inspector Ningwai Marma conducted an operation based on the information that Noor Mohammad, the owner of a shop called Sarkar Cosmetics and Rent Car of Sarkar Market in Charipara area of Daudkandi Upazila, had a foreign pistol. At this time police arrested Noor Mohammad with weapons.
Officer-in-Charge of Comilla District Intelligence Police Md. Sajjad Karim Khan said, we arrested him with weapons after receiving information based on secret information. There is no previous case against the accused. He has already been sent to jail through the court after the legal process.
